Neemuch: A Dalit man in a village in Neemuch town of MP had to take out a baraat under the help of police. The reason behind this is said to be the threat of the dabangs. The police officer said that in Sarsi village under Mansa police station area, the dacoits had threatened the Dalit groom not to take out a baraat by climbing on a mare. On receiving the complaint, the police officers reached the village and played the DJ and took out the baraat with pomp and show. About 100 policemen took out a flag march in the village before taking out the baraat, then escorted the baraat out of the village, giving him security. Due to this, people were seen swinging and dancing even in fear. The groom was also sitting on the mare with a copy of the Constitution in his hand. This event is on the next day of Republic Day.

According to the news received, Fakirchand Meghwal of village Sarsi, about 3 km from Manasa, had filed an application to the district magistrate some time ago to file a case regarding the spoiling of the atmosphere by dacoits at his son Rahul's wedding. On this, the district magistrate had directed the police officers to provide security to the Dalit family.

On Thursday, when Rahul's bindauli (baraat) came out, police from three police stations were present in the entire village. The police force took out a flag march in the village before Bindauli. Thereafter, bindauli came out in the presence of police officers and jawans. Due to this, all the officers including Tehsildar, SDOP, SDM were present.
