The CID team has arrested four police officials, police sub-inspector Gopal Hallur and senior constables Siddarush Rugi, Chandrashekhar Jadhav and Gaddeppa Naikodi were arrested in connection with the rowdy Chadchan's murder case.

The killing rowdy from Bheema river belt near Vijayapura, Gangadhar Chadchan has taken a new turn when the CID team arrested four police officials.IGP of Northern Range, Alok Kumar had taken up an investigation into the same case for two days before handing it over to the CID. During the preliminary investigation, Hanamant Pujari and Sidagondappa Tikkundi, main accused in the Chadchan murder had made some Shocking statements that Gangadhar Chadchan was handed over to them by police officials. The case took a new turn after this as the police department decided to hand it over to the CID for investigation.

The head of the CID team DySP Janardhan and Police Inspector M A Mohammad rushed to Vijayapura and arrested the four policemen. The arrested police officials were taken to the spot where Chadchan was allegedly killed under mysterious circumstances and where he went missings. 

The officials who were arrested from Vijaypura were taken for a  medical test after the arrest. After the medical examination, they were presented in a local court at Indi town, near Vijayapura. The court has sentenced Hallur to judicial custody until June 28. Gangadhar Chadchan was ostensibly involved in several cases. He was the brother of Dharmaraj Chadchan, one of the notorious criminals in the Bheema river belt.
