Lucknow: The capital of Uttar Pradesh, is known for its different styles. The taste here is also different, the dialect is also different. But the identity of this Lucknow can change now. BJP MP Sangam Lal Gupta has demanded that Lucknow's name be changed to Laxmanpur or Lakhanpur. They argue that Lord Shri Ram had handed over Lucknow to Laxman, so this city should be identified by his name.

Let us tell you that a grand bronze statue of Laxman has been installed outside Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport a few days ago. It has not been unveiled yet, but this old demand has gained momentum as soon as that statue is installed there. BJP MP Sangam Lal Gupta has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In that letter, he writes that it is believed that Lord Shri Ram gave Lucknow as a gift to Laxman. Since then the name of this city was Lakhanpur or Laxmanpur. But then in the 18th century, Nawab Asaf ud Daula changed the name of this city to Lucknow. Now the country has reached Amrit Kaal, in such a situation every symbol of slavery has to be left behind.

It is important to understand here that last year CM Yogi Adityanath also gave a big hint about Lucknow. When PM Narendra Modi was about to come to the state, chief minister Yogi heated up the market of speculation through a tweet. At that time, Chief Minister Yogi had tweeted and wrote ''hearty welcome and congratulations in the holy city of Lord Shri Laxman ji. Now even at that time, adding Lord Laxman's name to Lucknow is also giving big hint. Now in the same episode, the BJP MP has again raised the same demand. Whether the name will be really changed or not will be clear in the coming days.
