New Delhi: Winter season is being witnessed everywhere. The year 2023 started with a severe cold. In the first week, there is no ray of relief from it. The Meteorological Department has also issued a red alert for Wednesday. Also, it is predicted that the minimum temperature will reach four degrees. There will be cold and dense fog conditions and the sun is also going to be late and pale like Tuesday.

Day temperature is going to be 5 to 6 degrees below normal. If you are planning to travel, then keep in mind that roadways buses and trains are running late by several hours. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 6.8 degrees Celsius, slightly below the season's average. The maximum temperature was 14 degrees, it was five degrees below normal. For the third consecutive day, people are suffering from fog and severe cold. Young children going to school in the morning are suffering the most. Due to the lack of sunlight, people are not seeing any ray of relief even during the day. There is less movement in the busy markets.

Reports say that clouds have covered the upper surface of the atmosphere since morning. The sun appeared after one o'clock. Dr. UP Shahi, in-charge of the weather center of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agricultural University, said that due to the cooling of the upper layer of the atmosphere, clouds have been formed, due to which the sunlight coming out is very pale. This is the reason that the temperature remained at 11.2 degrees even at 11.30 am and at 2.30 pm it reached 13.6 degrees. As evening approaches, the temperature will be decreased further.
