Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court on Monday disposed of the BJP MLA Madan Dilawar petition that was filed against the merger of 6 BSP MLAs into Congress and told the state assembly speaker that MLA's complaint must be heard. The court told the Speaker that the case would be disposed of within three months on merit. A single bench of Justice Mahendra Kumar Goyal disposing of the petition of the BJP MLA told Dilawar that he would go before the Speaker. The court told the Speaker that the complaint lodged by Dilawar on March 16 has been settled.

Counsel appearing for the Speaker has said, "The court while disposing of Madan Dilawar's petition has been lodged with the Speaker on March 16 to hear the complaint and dispose it on merit within 3 months. We are still waiting for the detailed details of the court order." Dilawar is going to challenge the merger of 6 BSP MLAs Sandeep Yadav, Wajib Ali, Deepchand Kheria, Lakhan Meena, Jogendra Awana and Rajendra Gudha into the Congress.

It is noteworthy that Sandeep Yadav, Wajib Ali, Deepchand Kheria, Lakhan Meena, Jogendra Awana and Rajendra Gudha have won the assembly on the BSP ticket in the 2018 elections. He applied for a merger as a group in Congress on 16 September 2019 last year. The assembly speaker issued the order on 18 September 2019 after 2 days of the application, declaring that they are treating these 6 MLAs as integral members of Congress. Challenging the merger, Dilawar had complained to the Speaker, which has been dismissed on July 24.
