Bhopal: Ratul Puri, nephew of former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath, has been summoned by a Delhi court. Puri is convicted of money laundering in the alleged fertilizer scam and Rs 685 crore bribery case. Taking cognizance of the supplementary charge sheet, Special Judge Vikas Dhul summoned Puri and asked him to appear in court before January 18.
The judge passed the order after taking note of the submissions of Nitesh Rana, the special public prosecutor of the Enforcement Directorate, that prima facie there was sufficient evidence to prosecute Puri in the case. Puri is also a convict in the AgustaWestland chopper scam and the Moser Baer scam. At present, he is out on bail in both cases.
