On February 27, 2023, the official Instagram account of The Covenant released a picture of the cast members and announced the film's release date. The picture was captioned as “Band of brothers. Sergeant John Kinley (@jakegyllenhaal) leads his squad into enemy territory with his interpreter Ahmed (@darsalim1) by his side. @guyritchie’s #TheCovenant is only in movie theaters until April 21.”
Together with Gyllenhaal and Salim, the ensemble cast of The Covenant will include Antony Starr (The Boys), Christian Ochoa Lavernia (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Sean Sagar (The Gentlemen), Emily Beecham (Daphne), Alexander Ludwig (Vikings), and Jason Wong (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves). Together with long-time partners, Ritchie wrote the script with Ivan Atkinson (The Gentlemen, Aladdin) and Marn Davies (Sherlock Holmes, The Gentlemen).
