Maharajganj: The conspiracy to kill BJP leader Gaurav Jaiswal late on Monday night in Maharajganj district of UP was hatched in a tasting shop. The BJP leader was shot in an illegally running bar in front of the English liquor shop at Chiuraha in the local city. The police has arrested the criminal. Recently, the police got important clues from the CCTV camera, after which the police could reach the accused. 30-year-old Gaurav Jaiswal, nephew of Municipal President Krishna Gopal Jaiswal, was shot dead on Monday night in front of a liquor shop in Chiurha ward.

In the same preliminary investigation, it was found that Gaurav was shot with a pistol inside the biryani shop, but his body was found outside the shop lying in a pool of blood on the side of the road. One eye of Gaurav went out. Gaurav was a lawyer by profession. Gaurav, the third of the five brothers, was not married.

He was also the district convener of BJP's cleanliness campaign. The police scanned the footage of several CCTVs in the vicinity. There was a suspicious look in it. The police raided his house in the night itself, but he could not be found. Both his phone numbers were also switched off. The SP formed five teams for his arrest. The same police also arrested the accused within 12 hours.
