Lucknow: A man allegedly beat his wife and then electrocuted her to death in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri district, police said on Sunday. After killing the woman, the accused husband buried the body in the same room where he lived. The matter came to light three days later, when the woman's mother-in-law (the accused's mother) reported it to the police. On Friday midnight, the police recovered the body and arrested the accused husband.
According to the report, the incident took place in Hafizpur mohalla of Gola town. An elderly woman, Asia Begum, told Kotwali police on Friday night that her daughter-in-law Afsha Fatima was missing and the son was not telling anything about her.
