New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday accused that anti-national and anti-poor forces are spreading violence and hate in India. He said that the impact of dictatorship on the country's democracy is getting deeper. The leaders who laid the foundation of the country would never have thought that after 75 years of independence, the Constitution and democracy will be in trouble because bad thinking is now becoming more dominating. The Congress President said that freedom of expression is in danger at present and democratic institutions are being destroyed.

Addressing the public through video conferencing on the occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new building of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has said that "We have to remember that our Constitution is not going to be saved from these buildings. Inculcating corrupt and wrong feelings will have to be stopped only then our constitution will be saved. There is still much left to be done to fulfil the pledge that we had made during the freedom struggle. For the last few times, new challenges have arisen in front of democracy".

Sonia Gandhi said that "After a long period of 15 years, the Congress government will be formed in Chhattisgarh. What happened in Chhattisgarh last year is an example that a directionless and thoughtless government would never have thought about the public interest. I am happy that our government is executing work in the right direction. Efforts are being made to derail the country for the last few times. New problems have come in front of democracy. The country stands at a crossroads. Anti-poor and anti-national forces continue to spread hate and violence".
