New Delhi: The Edge 40, a new smartphone from Motorola, has gone on sale in India. The single 8GB/256GB variant of the device has a price of Rs. 27,999, and it will start selling on Flipkart on June 8. As for the highlights, the device has a 4,400mAh battery, a Dimensity 8020 chipset, a 50MP main camera, and a 144Hz pOLED display.

The Motorola Edge 40 smartphone was unveiled in Europe earlier this month and has now arrived in India. The device will compete with products like the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and iQOO Neo 7 in the sub-Rs. 30,000 price range. We have yet to see what kind of reaction the new handset will receive in the Indian market.

The Motorola Edge 40 has an IP68 rating, a center-aligned punch-hole cutout, thin bezels, and an in-display fingerprint reader. It has a dual camera module on the back. The device has a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400) pOLED display with HDR10+ certification, a refresh rate of 144Hz, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 1200-nits peak brightness. It weighs 171g and has a thickness measurement of 7.5mm.

The Motorola Edge 40 has a 50MP main camera with an f/1.4 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture, and an LED flash. It has a single 32MP (f/2.4) front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

A Dimensity 8020 processor powers the Motorola Edge 40, which also features 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone launches Android 13. It has a 4,400mAh battery inside that supports 15W wireless charging as well as 68W fast charging. The device offers 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a Type-C port in terms of connectivity.
