The 2022 Winter Paralympics have begun in Beijing on Friday. 71 players from Russia and 12 from Belarus have been sent back from this prestigious tournament. Where the Ukrainian team managed to reach here from the middle of the war situation with great difficulty. Valery, the head of the Ukrainian delegation, has said that it is a miracle that we have arrived for the Paralympics. The organizers of the Paralympics had initially allowed players from Russia and Belarus to take part in the Beijing Games but changed their decision a day before the opening ceremony, leaving players from both countries out of the competition.

Earlier, there were reports that the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) had said on Monday that 20 players of the Ukraine Paralympics team had not been able to reach Beijing. The Winter Paralympic Games are set to begin from this week. IPC spokesman Craig Spence said he hoped the athlete was about to arrive in China by the time the opening ceremony begins on Friday. However, given the safety concerns of the players, he refused to say where they are.  

"We are also constantly talking to Ukraine to represent the game and trying to get them here. The Winter Paralympic Games are scheduled to begin in Beijing from March 4, which is scheduled to run till March 13. Of these, 650 athletes from 49 delegations are scheduled to participate in the sport.''
