The case pertains to Katari Hill under the Chandauti police station area. The girl, named Neetu Kumari, had a love marriage with Gulshan Raj, a resident of the same village, in court last year. Neetu has alleged that the two have been receiving death threats from her parents. Due to which both of them are wandering for justice.
According to the victim, on May 1, her parents beat the girl and her husband as well as the father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and grandmother-in-law and injured them. Then threatened the girl to kill her and her husband. The victim said she was pregnant. Due to this beating, he is having unbearable pain in his stomach. Neetu said that the people on the in-laws' side have been very scared since the incident. Neetu Kumari also accused the police of not registering a case. She said the police sent them back without writing a complaint. At present, the couple has taken shelter with the Superintendent of Police of the district. She said that they were disturbed by the actions of the parents. They want justice.
