NEW DELHI: On Monday, The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has postponed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Examination scheduled for today. The state education board has postponed the class 12 examination earlier scheduled on March 18 to March 27 in view of the state holiday. The board had scheduled examination for Banking/ Logic/ Computer Science/ Co-operation/ Co-operation (CWSN) on March 18.

Here it is to be noted that the examination for all these papers will now be conducted on March 27. The timing for Banking/ Logic/ Computer Science/ Co-operation papers is from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and for Co-operation (CWSN) is from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The schedule for all other exams remains the same.

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar died at his private residence in Goa on Sunday evening after a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer. In view of the sitting Chief Minister's death, the state government has declared seven-day mourning. Parrikar was known for his effective decision-making skills and perfectionist approach to operations. However, his last budget speech delivered on January 30 of this year saddened many who were used to seeing him as an energetic statesman with zero tolerance for incompetence.

Late Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who died on Sunday after prolonged illness will be cremated with full state honours. His mortal remains will be kept at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) head office in Panjim between 9:30 am to 10:30 am before being moved to Kala Academy where the public can pay their last respect from 11 am to 4 pm. The funeral procession of the former defence minister will take place from Kala Academy in Panjim at 4 pm after which his last rites will be performed at Miramar at 5 pm.
