Bhopal: The government has decided to move the Supreme Court against the MP High Court's verdict on the reservation of backward classes in government recruitments. In fact, the issue was discussed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at a meeting of backward classes front functionaries late last Wednesday evening. At the same time, it was also considered to increase the creamy layer limit for the OBC category from 8 lakh to 12 lakh (annual income). Meanwhile, BJP Backward Classes Front State President Bhagat Singh Kushwaha said, "The meeting was attended by all backward class MLAs, MPs, and Marechal functionaries.''

It outlined the upcoming programs of Marechal. He also said, "The High Court has discussed the upholding of 14% of the OBC reservation limit in government recruitments. The Government will move forward in this matter in a procedural manner.'' Kushwaha also alleged that "the then government had increased OBC reservation from 14 to 27% in view of the Lok Sabha elections, but when the decision was challenged in the High Court, the government did not take a proper stand. But now, the matter has been discussed in the meeting to take the process forward as per rules.'' Sources now say that the government is preparing to move the Supreme Court in the matter.

Let us also tell you that the Madhya Pradesh High Court has given a major verdict on Tuesday on all other petitions including 27% OBC reservation. In fact, in an interim change in the earlier order on the OBC reservation, all recruitments of OBC have been ordered as per 14% reservation. It has ordered to reserve 13% reservation. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for August 10. In fact, the reservation was affecting recruitment procedures awaiting a decision.
