New Delhi: Delhi High Court has given partial relief to the private schools of Delhi, although thousands of parents of Delhi may be disappointed with this decision. Justice C Hari Shankar has stayed the circular issued by the Directorate of Education on March 27. The court has said that the controversial circular of March 27, 2024 issued by the Directorate is going to be stayed till the next date of hearing. Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Directorate of Education and ordered it to file a counter affidavit within 4 weeks. The next hearing of this case is now going to be held on July 31.

Government's order contrary to the old order of the court : Reports say that the Delhi High Court has said in the interim order passed on April 29 that the order issued by the government in March is completely different from the old order of the court. Justice Hari Shankar has said in this regard that even though this decision has been challenged by the Delhi government before the division bench, it has not been stopped or cancelled. The Directorate of Education, no matter how dissatisfied it is with the decision of this Court in Action Committee Unaided Recognized Private Schools, will have to respect it as long as it stands.

Threatening action is objectionable: The news says that the High Court has said in this regard that the education department continuously issuing circulars and threatening action on increasing the fees without prior approval of the education department is objectionable and it cannot be allowed. . The High Court, continuing its point, has said that schools cannot be forced to litigate like this and the law is clear that any unaided recognized school does not require any prior approval before increasing the fees. even if built on land to which the Land Clause applies. Delhi High Court has passed this order on the petition filed by Action Committee Unaided Recognized Schools, an organization of private schools.
