Srinagar: Gopalpora Government High School in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been named after Hindu teacher Rajni Bala. State Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha announced this after meeting the relatives of the late teacher on Wednesday (8 June 2022). During this, while consoling the family, he has assured strict action against the murderers of Rajni Bala.

 

He has also assured all possible help to the family. Let us inform that on May 31, Islamic terrorists shot and killed Rajni Bala outside the school. During the meeting with the Lieutenant Governor, Rajni Bala's husband Rajkumar asked him to give all the pension benefits of his wife to the daughter. Along with this, he demanded full salary in the form of pension till the date of retirement, the cost of education of the daughter and giving her a job when she becomes an adult. Along with this, due to the prevailing circumstances, he also requested to transfer his home area to Samba.

At the same time, after this meeting, Sinha wrote in a tweet that, 'Jammu and Kashmir administration will provide all possible support and help to the family. The Government High School at Gopalpara in Kulgam district will be named after the teacher, Rajni Bala. I have met his family. Their demands and problems will be resolved on priority basis. In another tweet, LG wrote that, 'Meet Rajni Bala's family members at her house in Samba. She was one of the most loved and admired teachers in the valley.
