Islamabad: After the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor in Pakistan on 9 November, most devotees visited on Sunday 24 November. The number of devotees visiting the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib has increased to 1800 on Sunday. While giving information in the media, the officials said that the number of devotees visiting the historic Kartarpur Gurdwara has never been more than 700 before.
Immigration officials hope that this number will increase further once people become aware of the process of online registration. He informed that apart from this the convenience centers also have a big role in increasing the number of devotees. Gurwinder Bajwa, general secretary of the 'Ravi Darshan Abhilashi' institution and a trusted aide of the late Kuldeep Singh Wadala, demanded the elimination of passports to visit Darbar Sahib.
He said that as soon as this condition of passport mandatory would be abolished, the number of pilgrims would increase a lot. He said that most people do not have passports, but they want to go to Kartarpur Sahib. Let us tell you that on the 550th birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru Nanak Dev Ji, a large number of devotees from India are going to darshan at Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan.
