The iPhone 13 has been high rumoured to feature some features that will bring it to par with modern Android devices. However, a new leak depicts the iPhone 13 could be getting at least three camera upgrades, a smaller notch and a faster SoC. Bloomberg reports that the next iPhone could launch on September 14 and here are the new features Apple is planning to announce. Apple is expected to introduce a new video version of portrait mode on iPhone 13 according to Bloomberg. Portrait mode debuted on the iPhone 7 in 2016 and we haven’t seen many upgrades ever since.

The iPhone 13 will sport a new mode called the ProRes video where the phone will be able to capture video in even higher quality. This will let video bloggers give more options while editing. According to Bloomberg, the ProRes format is used by professional video editors where the file sizes are massive. ProRes video might be exclusive to the Pro series just like ProRaw last year. Finally, iPhone 13 users will also get the ability to control the look colours and highlights in photos. It seems like users will be getting more editing options where colours at a warmer or cooler temperature can be adjusted without sacrificing the white balance. Another mode is said to add deeper shadows and more contrast to dramatic photos. There will be a third mode that is more balanced and will be “for showing shadows and true-to-life colours with a brighter appearance.” These modes will be able to apply changes to individual objects in an image rather than across the entire photo.

Bloomberg also reemphasised that the iPhone 13 series will look identical to the iPhone 12 series albeit with a smaller notch. In terms of sizes, there will be a 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini, a 6.1-inch iPhone 13, a 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max. As previously reported, the iPhone 13 is also expected to get a 120Hz ProMotion display and will include the A15 processors.
