Kapil's mother said after hearing his words, "What should I do if my daughter-in-law refuses to let me sit? She says she'll hurry up and go on the programme, and she'll get out of the outfit as soon as possible. That's how you went about it. Meanwhile, Kapil claimed that his mother was present during the Surat filming of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13. When Amitabh Bachchan asked him what he ate before giving birth to Kapil, he innocently said, "Dal Phulka is a type of dal. Now, let's discuss about Kapil's personal life. I'll tell you that throughout their college years, Kapil and Ginny were excellent friends, but then they went away for job.

On December 12, 2018, the two married in Jalandhar, and wedding photos and videos of the two have surfaced. Today, Kapil and Ginni have two children. Ginni has been described by Kapil as a "pillar" who stood by him when he was upset and realised what was going on. Everything appears to be negative at the time. But, at the time, Kapil's family, particularly Ginny, was a source of support for him. Ginny and Kapil, by the way, are now living happily ever after.
