The lockdown period has been extended to prevent corona. An initiative of the Madhya Pradesh Police in support of the workers returning to their homes amidst the lockdown implemented across the country is being appreciated. In fact, in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, the police have made arrangements to provide food for migrant labourers.

In this case, a police officer said that for the migrant labourers and other passersby, food shops are being run at many places in the district. These places include Kshipra, Simrol, Bargonda, Manpur, Kishanganj and Betma. The responsibility of these dinners is being handled by the policemen and volunteers of social organizations. The police have also installed banners outside these dinners running for the migrant labourers, on which it is written "Kripya Bhojan Karke Jaye". The police officer said that for the migrant labourers not to face any kind of trouble, drinking water has also been arranged at different places.

The official further told that migrant labourers migrating from Maharashtra and Gujarat, especially through Indore district, have been towards their original places of residence. In such a situation, many people have left on foot with their family. These arrangements have been made to help these people. The official said that Uttar Pradesh has the largest number of migrant labourers returning home.
