Indian skipper MS Dhoni has stirred up a controversy for  storming run onto the field in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) match in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Dhoni who is known as captain Cool on Thursday, has showed a different side to his personality. MSD’s action was condemned by several former cricketers like Michael Vaughan and Michael Slater. Now legendary Indian spinner Bishan Singh Bedi has also lashed out at the veteran wicket-keeper batsman and labelled his outburst as an immature protest. He also questioned the light penalty put on him (50 per cent of his match fee).

Bishan Singh Bedi lashes out at MS Dhoni’s protest over no ball Umpire decision

He took to Twitter and wrote,” Am aghast w/media calls on Dhoni’s invasion o field as most immature protest against Umpires last night..puzzles me no end why sport scribes r petrified o honest expression against erring established stars..why even authorities are shamelessly timid-50% fine is kid-gloving MSD.!”

IPL had put a light penalty on Dhoni after discussion with umpire Oxenford and match referee. It has been brought to light that Oxenford made it clear that he wasn’t offended by the CSK skipper’s act of walking onto the field so the match referee did not put a bigger penalty on him.
