New Delhi: Yamaha has announced the launch of the MT-15 V2 motorcycle in India for 2023. The vehicle is available in Standard and Y-Connect variants and has a starting price of Rs. 1,64,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Bluetooth connectivity of the latter is advantageous. The 155cc single-cylinder engine, 6-speed gearbox and 17-inch alloy wheels are the motorcycle's standout features. It has a maximum output of 18.1 horsepower.

The Yamaha MT-15 was extremely well-liked at the time. With a 62% YoY increase in sales over its predecessor, the more recent MT-15 V2, which was released last year, became the most popular MT-15 in a single month.

The 2023 model is now available, increasing competition in the roadster market. The new motorcycle competes with the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, Apache RTR 200 4V, and KTM 125 Duke.

With a projector-style headlight with twin DRLs, a muscular 10-liter fuel tank, a step-up seat, arrowhead-shaped mirrors, an LED taillight, a side-slung upswept exhaust and 17-inch alloy wheels, the 2023 Yamaha MT-15 V2's styling is unaltered. The motorcycle is equipped with an LCD instrument panel. Additionally available are optional extras like a tank pad, skid plate, USB charger, and adjustable levers.

The 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with a variable valve actuator is still present in the 2023 Yamaha MT-15 V2. It has a 6-speed gearbox and is capable of producing 14.2Nm of maximum torque at 7,500 rpm and 18.1 horsepower at 10,000 rpm. The new OBD-2 hardware aids in obtaining the car's diagnostic data.

Dual-channel ABS is included in the 2023 Yamaha MT-15 V2 along with 282mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes. It has a traction control system built in.
Its kerb weight is 141 kg, and its ground clearance is 170 mm. The front forks are positioned upside-down, and the rear suspension consists of a mono-shock unit with links. The bike's Y-Connect model includes Bluetooth for smartphone connectivity.

The Dark Matte Blue, Metallic Black, Cyan Storm, Ice Fluo-vermillion, Racing Blue, and Metallic Black DLX are the six colour options for the 2023 Yamaha MT-15 V2. The bike's starting price in India is Rs. 1,64,900.
