There are many things all over the world which are very old and it includes the oldest post box in Kerala which has now become 100 years old. It is a matter of pride for all. According to a website report, the 100-year-old post office is in Munnar. However, Kanan Devan Hill Produce Co Ltd has also completed 100 years. According to a report, the Department of Posts had opened post offices under the British government at Devikulam and Munnar during the years 1890 and 1918.

There was a conversation all over the world through the first letter from the digital world. There were only letters for conversation and nothing else. Post box No. 9 is now 100 years old. Postal service had started before the post box. The post box was built in the year 1920. Now, it is one of the oldest cities in the country and one of the oldest postboxes in the state.

The company was given a box and a bag by the postal department and Munnar's postmaster K Murugaiah says no one other than the department and company officials was allowed to open the post box. The Kanan Devan Hills Plantation has kept the legacy of the postal service alive till today.
