New Delhi: ASI Arun Kumar, who was injured in the Delhi Jahangirpuri violence case, has narrated the entire incident in one of his interviews. Arun Kumar, who was brought to the hospital for treatment, said, "I was hit with bricks and stones due to which I suffered injuries in my legs and shoulders. He said that the anarchic elements also included women, children and the elderly. ASI Arun Kumar said that I was in the procession from the beginning. I along with some of my colleagues was behind the vehicle in which Hanuman ji's journey was being taken out. As soon as the yatra approached Kushal Chowk, suddenly a crowd of about one to one and a half thousand came from ahead. Thereafter, there was abuse and argument between the two sides.

At the same time, Arun Kumar said that he tried very hard to calm down the people of both sides by discussing them, but no one was ready to listen to them. He said that everyone had bottles, swords and knives in their hands. He said the debate between the two sides turned into a dispute and in a short span of time, a chaotic situation was created. ASI said that the people involved in the procession were fleeing leaving their respective vehicles. In the meantime, he was also trying to remove both sides. After a while, the miscreants tried to burn the vehicles. I refused them, but no one was willing to listen to me.

Further, ASI said that after a while the situation changed. There was a commotion all around. He said ''What I saw... I can't put it into words." I tried very hard to avoid the burning of vehicles, which would at least lead to arson. He said that most of the people involved in the procession had gone back from the spot after the situation worsened. I along with some of my colleagues were present at the spot and kept rescuing people. In the meantime, the miscreants hit me with bricks and stones. Let us know that on Saturday, violence broke out after stone pelting on the procession being taken out on Hanuman Janmotsav. Nine persons, including 8 policemen, were killed in the attack by the miscreants. So far, 14 persons have been arrested in the case. Police are also interrogating several suspects.
