New Delhi: The Election Commission has taken a major decision in view of the increasing cases of corona in the country, which has had a huge impact on every section of the country due to corona. The Commission has banned the celebration of victory after the upcoming election results on 2nd May.  The election results of West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu will be declared on May 2. In addition, the results of panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh are also scheduled to be held on the same day. The Election Commission has banned the celebration of victory as the results are not crowded with the celebrations of victory.

Yesterday, the Madras High Court had severely reprimanded the Election Commission. The Madras High Court has slammed the Election Commission for flouting the Corona Protocol by political parties in election rallies. The Chief Justice of the High Court said in a very stern tone that only the Election Commission is responsible for the present situation. Not only that, but the Chief Justice also said that election commission officials should be booked for murder.

The Madras High Court has also ordered the Election Commission to ensure covid protocol for counting day i.e. The court said counting will be banned immediately if this does not happen. The high court's anger over the Corona blast can also be understood by the Chief Justice saying whether the Election Commission was on another planet when election rallies were taking place.
