New Delhi: The Modi government at the Center on Friday issued an ordinance for the purpose of setting up the 'National Capital Public Service Authority' for the transfer of 'Group-A' officers of 'Daniks' cadre and for disciplinary action against them. After this ordinance, there are chances of a political tussle again between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the central government in Delhi. Just a week before this ordinance was promulgated by the Centre, the Supreme Court had handed over the control of police, law and order and all other services in the country's capital to the Delhi government.
Let us tell you that Delhi CM and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal had alleged earlier in the day on Friday (May 19) that the central government was planning to issue an ordinance to reverse the Supreme Court's decision. The AAP has termed it as a "dupe" with the apex court, which in its May 11 order had handed over the control of bureaucrats serving in the Delhi government to its elected government. The apex court had only kept police, law and order and land out of its purview. Delhi's Public Works Department (PWD) minister Atishi said the Centre's ordinance "clearly amounts to contempt of court".
Saurabh Bhardwaj, Chief Spokesperson of AAP and Minister of Service Department in Delhi Government, said that the Central Government has cheated the people of Delhi. Bhardwaj has said that, This has never happened before in the history of the country. This is a 'chhalawa/cheat' on the Supreme Court and the people of Delhi, who have elected Kejriwal three times as CM. He has no power, but the Lieutenant Governor (LG) who is not elected, who is imposed on the public, will have powers and through him the center will keep an eye on the work happening in Delhi. This is contempt of court.
Virendra Sachdeva has said that this ordinance is very important in view of the kind of dictatorship, ruckus and anarchy Kejriwal and AAP have shown after the order of the Supreme Court. Delhi is not only the capital of India but also the pride, this is a very necessary step to save it. Thanks to the central government. On the other hand, Delhi BJP unit president Virendra Sachdeva said that Delhi is the capital of the country, the whole of India has a right over it and Arvind Kejriwal government has hurt the administrative dignity of Delhi for a long time. Ambassadors of every country of the world live in Delhi and whatever administrative mishappenings happen here, the dignity of India gets tarnished all over the world as well. The corruption of this government has also embarrassed Delhi a lot and now, in the last one week, the way the Arvind Kejriwal government has tried to defame Delhi's administration and do arbitrariness, because of the ordinance brought by the central government.
