New Delhi: The Supreme Court today reprimanded the governments of Punjab and Haryana in the Munak canal dispute case related to the problem of floods in the Ghaggar basin. The top court said that the state governments should not get caught in politics and focus on the solution of the common people. The top court has asked the Punjab and Haryana governments to file their project reports in the matter within 4 weeks. The next hearing of the case in the Supreme Court will be on January 3. The Supreme Court said that our order in the matter is very clear in the matter.

During the hearing of the case, the top court, while making a strong remark, told the Punjab and Haryana governments that, it does not matter to the common man that how many meetings you hold. The common man wants to see the solution of the problem. The court slammed the Punjab government in the Munak canal dispute case, saying that the AAP government did not take any serious steps in this matter. While advising the Punjab and Haryana governments, the top court said that both state governments should sit down and take steps to find a solution to the problem.

During the hearing, the court said that the people of 25 villages are still affected by the floods, but their problems have not been resolved. State governments are just holding meetings. The Supreme Court reprimanded the counsel for the Punjab government and said that you have to follow the suggestions given by the CWC and the court. At the same time, the Punjab government said that we will file a status report every month.

The top court told the Punjab government that there should be no politics in this, public interest comes first. The Supreme Court said that the maximum land for the project comes in Punjab. You should not depend on the projects of Haryana. The top court said that you have to follow the suggestion given by the committee, and we will not decide how to do it.
