Haryana's tableau is set to become the centre of attraction for the audience at the January 26 parade. The tableau in Haryana will also see a life-size replica of Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra. The directorate of the state information, public relations and language department has issued a notice in this regard on Saturday. Neeraj Chopra made history last August as he became the first athlete in the country to win an Olympic gold medal in track and field events. The 24-year-old from Panipat had surpassed the rest of the archers amid winning the gold medal with a throw of 87.58 m in the final.
10 Olympians are set to be part of Haryana's tableau as Haryana is ready to showcase the power of Olympic heroes at Rajpath. DPR Haryana tweeted, "Haryana tableau is scheduled to attend the January 26 parade this time. 10 Olympians are going to be part of the tableau. Neeraj Chopra's life-size replica could be its highlight. The tableau is scheduled to be officially introduced in Delhi today. This tableau has been prepared by the Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages.'
Neeraj Chopra, on the other hand, has started training in the USA as he is gearing up for the busy season ahead. Neeraj is going to compete in the World Championship, Diamond League. With which Neeraj attempted to defend his title at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. The tableaux will go up to the Red Fort in New Delhi and will be put up there for public display. According to the news agency, the Republic Day parade is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. instead of 10 a.m. this year.
