MP, Haryana, Punjab and Maharashtra have also won their respective pool matches on the second day of the 12th Hockey India Senior Women's National Championship here on Saturday.   Apart from two goals from Prashu Singh Parihar (23rd and 51st minutes), one goal each from Jyoti Pal (1st minute) and Seema Verma (21st minute) helped MP beat Bihar 4-0 in Pool A.   In Pool B, Haryana defeated Bengal 18-0 in a one-sided match. In Pool C, Punjab has also won 9-0 over Tripura and in Pool D, Maharashtra has also won 2-0 over Uttarakhand.

Karnataka, UP and Delhi have won a stunning victory against their competitors in pool matches on the opening day of the 12th Hockey India Senior Women's National Championship. In the opening match of the tournament, Karnataka defeated Arunachal 10-0 in Pool F. Tamil Nadu was also the winner. UP  beat Goa 8-0 in Pool, G Delhi has also defeated Gujarat 13-0.

Earlier, Tamil Nadu and Haryana had made it to the final of the Hockey India Senior Men's National Championship with easy victories in the semi-finals. Haryana registered a 5-2 win against Maharashtra in the first semi-final while Tamil Nadu defeated Karnataka 3-0 in another match of the last 4.

For Haryana, Deepak (21st, 50th), Deepak Kumar (12th), Ravi (27th) and Pankaj (45th minute) scored goals while for Maharashtra, both the goals have been scored by captain Taleb Shah (24th, 52nd). The first half of the match between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka was goalless. After which J Joshua Benedict Wesley (44th), Sundarapandi (50th) and Saravan Kumar (54th) also scored goals for Tamil Nadu. The final was played on Sunday. Maharashtra and Karnataka are scheduled to play the playoff matches for the third and fourth places earlier.
