You must have read and heard about the Mahabharata many times. In such a situation, today we are going to tell you who was Banasura, because of which a huge and fierce war was fought between Lord Shiva and Shri Krishna. Let's know about it.

Mythology - Usha and Anirudh loved each other. Usha was the daughter of King Banasur of Sonitpur. Banasura had the blessing of Shiva that whenever there was a crisis, he would protect it. One day Usha kidnaps Anirudh and wishes to meet Anirudh and secure Okhimath which is present near Kedarnath Jyotirlinga in the present day. It is believed that both of them married Gandharva here. When Banasur came to know about the love and marriage of the two, he became angry and in anger, he took Anirudh hostage and put him in jail. On the other hand, as soon as Lord Krishna was informed about the arrest of Anirudh, he immediately attacked the kingdom of Banasura with an army. Seeing Shri Krishna's army created a stir in the kingdom of Banasura. Balarama, Praduman, Satyaki, Gada, Samb, Cern, Upananda, Bhadra etc. were with Lord Krishna. Seeing the huge army, Banasura understood that the war would be fierce, so he focused on Lord Shiva and asked him to protect. Hearing the prayers of his devotee, Lord Shiva also appeared with Rudraksh, Virabhadra, Kupakarna, Kumbhanda, Nandi, Ganesh and Karthikeya and assured to provide protection to Banasura.

War in Shivji and Shri Krishna - The army of Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna came face to face. A fierce war was fought between the two. Nobody's army was falling short. Seeing the war, Shri Krishna put thousands of soldiers of Banasur to sleep in one go. Banasur got upset by this. Banasur prayed to Shiv ji again, after which a direct war between Shivji and Shri Krishna started. Destroyer weapons were used from both sides. Even in this war Shiva used Pashupatastra and Shri Krishna used Narayanastra. A sharp fire started burning around these weapons. In this war, Shri Krishna used a weapon that made Lord Shiva sleepy. Seeing such condition of Shivji, Banasura got nervous and started running away from the battlefield. Sri Krishna caught Banasur running and started cutting his arms. When four arms of Banasur were left, Lord Shiva woke up. Seeing the condition of Banasura, Shivji got angry and he fired the most terrible weapon, Shivjwar Agni, which produced terrifying energy. Due to this, fever and other diseases started spreading. To end the effect of this weapon, Lord Krishna had to use Narayan fever cold.

In the war between Lord Shiva and Shri Krishna, the gods were terrified to see the use of weapons and weapons. The Gods began to worry that if this war is not ended then the entire creation will be destroyed. All the gods reached Brahmaji with prayers. Brahma Ji said that only Ma Durga can stop this war. All the gods started praising Maa Durga. The mother appeared and assured the gods to end the war. Mother Durga pacified Lord Shiva and Lord Shri Krishna. Thus this war ended. After the end of the war, Banasura apologized to Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna, Banasun said that because of that there was a war between the two, so he was filled with self-aggression. Later Banasur got Anirudh and Usha married.
