Ahmedabad: A major incident of negligence has come to light in the Ashram Express train going from Ahmedabad to Delhi on Monday. A man sitting in the engine of a speeding train tampered with emergency equipment. He also did this feat on Facebook Live. As soon as the news of the same incident was received, there was a stir in the railway administration. The department has registered a case against the criminal person, suspending the 3 employees responsible for the incident.
The incident is from Bandikui Junction on Monday evening. Chief Loco Inspector (driver) Santosh put his relative Sukhram in the loco cabin (engine) in the Ashram Express, which reached here from Jaipur. Because his ticket was not confirmed. As soon as the train left the junction, Sukhram started going live on the Facebook page from the cabin. He was doing live claiming to drive the train himself. In the video, he is also seen tampering with the equipment running the train. There were more than 800 passengers on the train at that time.
The same DRM Narendra of Jaipur division told that in the investigation, the matter was found to be between Bandikui to Delhi. Jaipur Divisional Railway has suspended Chief Loco Inspector Santosh, Loco Pilot Pradeep Meena and Assistant Loco Pilot Manish with immediate effect. Sukh Ram, the person sitting in the engine, has reached Delhi. A case has also been registered against him. A committee has been formed for the investigation. It is wrong to travel and do it like this. In the investigation of the railway officers, it has come to the fore that Sukhram was sitting alone in the rear loco. There is no operational control from the rear loco. From there the emergency system can be used. Had Sukhram used the emergency system present in the rear loco, a major accident could have happened. This put the safety of hundreds of passengers at risk.
