New Delhi: As the investigation in the case of conversion of teenagers through gaming apps from Ghaziabad is progressing, new revelations have started coming out. So far, the police have also received information about the conversion of teenagers from five states. The call detail records (CDRs) of shahnawaz Maqsood alias Baddo, the kingpin of the conversion gang, have revealed that more than 100 juveniles came in contact with him in the last one year. Information has been received from the bank that lakhs of rupees are also being given in his account every month.
Reports say that this amount has been deposited from Gujarat, Maharashtra, UP, Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh. The police are now trying to find out the names and addresses of the depositors and their horoscopes. Along with this, people from different cities of these states have also started calling the police and opening a blog about Baddo's black deeds. Baddo's real name is Shahnawaz. He was active on all social media platforms under the name of Baddo. Police have found that he has also got his identity cards made in the name of Baddo. In this case, separate teams of Intelligence Bureau (IB), Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS), Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) along with the crime branch of the police, cyber cell and police station are also working. Police officials said that after the news of religious conversion through gaming app came in the media, people themselves are contacting the police and giving information. Calls have been received from police and common people from Haryana, Chandigarh, Maharashtra and Gujarat. There is information about the network of conversion gangs in five states including UP.
The police have so far only detained Abdul Rehman, a former member of the committee of the mosque in Sanjay Nagar. During his interrogation, it was revealed that the gang had also converted teenagers from Faridabad and Chandigarh. After which the police investigation has revealed that conversions were done in Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Investigating officer changed: During the registration of the FIR, the RDC outpost in-charge was made the investigating officer of the case, but now the officials have changed the investigation officer to Inspector Naresh Singh of Kavinagar police station. Not only this, security agencies and police are engaged in searching for Baddo's Pakistani connection. It is feared that Baddo may have Pakistani connections. However, security agencies and police have not yet found any clue to suggest that Baddo has Pakistani connections.
