The accused was caught by the villagers and handed over to the police.

He was hurriedly taken to SCB Medical College. Doctors declared the umpire dead during treatment. After this incident, tension spread in the village. The police were informed about the incident. Police have said that as a precaution, a contingent of security forces has been deployed in the village. The police have taken the accused into custody. The investigation of the matter has started.
