Sputnik will arrive in India on this day-First consignment of vaccine

New Delhi: Amid the second wave of covid against which the vaccine is said to be the largest weapon ever. The war against Covid is going to intensify in the country. The first consignment of Russia's Sputnik V vaccine is scheduled to be given to India on May 1. Kiril Dimitrov, head of the Research Group of the Russian Vaccine, said this in an interview with CNN.

However, it is yet to be said how many doses of the vaccine are going to be sent on May 1.  It has been learned that 5crore vaccines are going to be sent to India in the coming days. The vaccine is to be imported into India through Dr. Reddy Labs in The Beginning. India is initially going to import Sputnik V, but later it will be manufactured in the country itself.

Sputnik-V is said to be more effective than covishield and covaccine. Russia's Gamaleya Research Institute claims that Sputnik V is 91.6 percent effective, while covishield is said to be 80 percent effective and vaccine up to 81 percent. It is also being said that at present, a vaccination campaign has been launched across the country through covishield and India biotech vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University in India and manufactured by Serum Institute. The arrival of Sputnik V could reduce the country's dependence on these two vaccines. At present, 70 million shots of these two vaccines are being manufactured in the country every month.
