Jabalpur: Even though the Government of India has implemented the triple talaq law to protect Muslim women from harassment, but still cases related to it are constantly coming up and Muslim women are facing the brunt of it. One such case has come to light from Jabalpur, where a young man threw his wife out of the house by giving her triple talaq.
According to the report, Shabrin Naz, who came to Hanuman Tal police station with a complaint, has informed that she is a resident of Mandla district and on March 17, 2022, she was married to Mohammad Kaleem, a resident of Thakkar village in Hanuman Tal area. Both of them were identified through social media platform Instagram and after that both of them got married, but after a few days of marriage, Kaleem started torturing his wife Shabrin for dowry.
When the dowry demand was not met, he now divorced his wife and threw her out of the house. The victim has now reached the police station in the hope of justice. While registering a case, the police station in-charge is calling both the parties to investigate the matter and take action against the husband if found guilty.
