In anger, they took the man hostage and burnt him alive. Actually, due to religious traditions in that village, it is considered a sin to cut trees on pegged land.
Actually, this case is of Kolebira police station area of ​​Simdega. Where Sanju Pradhan, a person living in Besrajara village, used to cut and sell the trees on the pegged land of the village. But the cutting of trees present on the pegged land in the village is prohibited according to religious beliefs. The villagers had complained about this many times to the forest department. But the forest department remained apathetic.
Just two days back, a person named Sanju Pradhan had cut a tree again. Angered by this, the residents held a meeting in the village on Tuesday. After that, Sanju was taken out of the house and beat him up a lot and then burnt him in an imminent condition. On receiving the complaint, the police reached the spot. Simdega Superintendent of Police Shams Tabrez said that the perpetrators of this case will not be spared. No one has the right to take the law into his own hands. A complaint has been registered in this regard. The matter is under investigation.
