New Delhi: Corona infection has created a lot of panic across the country. On the other hand, the rapid spread of this variant has created an atmosphere of fear among the individuals. However, AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria has tried to ease this fear. Dr. Guleria has said that 'If people follow corona-related behaviour, we will be safe from the crisis of any emerging variant'. He explained that there is not much data on delta plus variants whether it is more contagious, responsible for more deaths or causing more damage to the immune system.
Doctor Guleria said that its analysis requires more data so that it can be studied. Guleria has also pointed out that vaccine doses need to be mixed and studied on its outcomes, as studies suggest that it can be effective. The AIIMS Director also clarified that more data is required before vaccine is made
Dr. Guleria's comments come at a time when a recent study led by oxford university has revealed that taking doses of Astrazeneca and Pfizer-bionic vaccines can lead to strong immunity against corona. Scientists studying are trying to find out the feasibility of mixing different vaccines used instead of booster doses. The study seeks to find out if doing so can lead to strong immunity against the corona.
