Mumbai: On the first day of the budget session in Maharashtra, there was a lot of uproars. The uproar was such that Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari stopped his speech midway on the first day of the session and left the House. In fact, MLAs of the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi government have alleged that the governor had recently made a controversial statement on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. On Thursday, the MLAs raised slogans on the first day of the House, in just 22 seconds, the Governor gave his speech and then left.

As soon as Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari came to the House for the address, the ruling party leaders raised slogans of 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ki Jai'. Thereafter, the Governor finished his speech on the table in just 22 seconds. The address ended only after mentioning the names of Mahatma Phule and Savitribai Phule in the Governor's speech.

After the Maha Vikas Aghadi MLAs created a ruckus, CM Uddhav Thackeray appealed for peace, but after that, the BJP MLAs again started creating a ruckus. Subsequently, the Governor skipped the speech. Not only this, apart from sloganeering in the House, the MLAs also protested outside the House. An MLA made a protest on the occasion itself. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) MLAs raised slogans and protested against Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari over his alleged controversial statement on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. NCP MLA Sanjay Daund performed 'Shirshasan' in protest.
