Bhopal: So far, 225 students from Madhya Pradesh from Ukraine have returned to their homes. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed the Council of Ministers ahead of the cabinet meeting on Thursday. He ordered the ministers to meet the families of the students who are still stranded and increase their morale.
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that necessary coordination is being done by the Residential Commissioner and other senior officers for the return of the students. The state government is constantly monitoring efforts to bring back the stranded children in Ukraine. It is also reviewing the work of taking the returning children home. He said that the families of Madhya Pradesh whose children are in Ukraine are also meeting people's representatives and senior officers. The CM said that PM Narendra Modi is trying his best to bring back Indian people stranded in the war situation in Ukraine to India safely. The Indian people are being brought back by the C-17 aircraft. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia along with other Union Ministers Hardeep Puri and V K Singh have been sent to border countries.
CM said that arrangements have been made to accommodate the students of Madhya Pradesh who returned to New Delhi and Mumbai at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan, Madhyaanchal and other places. Arrangements are also being made for their food and travel tickets if needed. The CM said that the minister should contact the families of such students in the districts of charge whose children are currently in Ukraine. Communicating with such families encourages them. The CM said that the task of returning the children can be simplified by giving information from the families of such students to the Residential Commissioner, New Delhi and the Home Department.
