Varanasi: A petition filed in the court of civil judge (fast track) on three points, including handing over the controversial Gyanvapi complex in Kashi, the city of Baba Vishwanath, to Hindus and a ban on the entry of the Muslim side in it, is scheduled to come up for hearing on Friday. On the previous date, the counsel for the Muslim side had obtained a copy of the petition from the plaintiff's advocate. so that a reply can be filed on the petition.

Kiran Singh, the plaintiffs Vikas Sah and Vidyachand, general secretary of the Vishwa Vedic Sanatan Sangh and plaintiffs of Adi Vishweshwar, had filed the suit in the court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ravi Kumar Diwakar on 77 pages and 122 paragraphs. It demands that the Muslim side be restricted from entering the Gyanvapi complex, the Gyanvapi complex should be handed over to Hindus to worship and daily worship of Lord Adivishveshwara should be started immediately.

The plaintiff had also cited the report of the court commission proceedings. The case was scheduled to come up for hearing on May 30, but the district judge transferred the case to the fast track court of Mahendra Kumar Pandey. When the plaintiff started to put forth his case at the hearing in the fast track court, the respondent advocate objected that he had not been provided with a copy of the suit. After receiving the copy of the suit, the respondent advocate requested for grant of the exemption. The court had fixed July 8 as the date in June, keeping in view the closure of the civil hearing.
