In a tragic accident in Georgia, USA, three Indian-American students lost their lives, and two others were injured when their speeding car flipped over, according to police reports. The victims were identified as Sriya Avasarala, Anvi Sharma, and Aryan Joshi. The incident occurred last week on Westside Parkway in Alpharetta.

Authorities believe the driver lost control of the vehicle, which eventually overturned and came to rest upside down in a wooded area. Joshi and Avasarala were pronounced dead at the scene, while the remaining three occupants were rushed to North Fulton Hospital. Unfortunately, Sharma succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The injured students were identified as Rithwak Somepalli, a student at Georgia State University, who was driving the car, and Mohammed Liyakath, a senior at Alpharetta High School. Both students are 18 years old.

The crash impact caused the car to veer off the road and flip over in the tree line. The accident, which occurred on May 14, led to the temporary closure of the roadway between Hembree Road and Maxwell Road.

Avasarala and Sharma were students at the University of Georgia, while Joshi was a senior at Alpharetta High School. The initial investigation suggests that speed may have played a role in the accident.

The University of Georgia expressed its sorrow over the tragic loss. "The University of Georgia community mourns the lives lost in this tragic accident. Our deepest condolences go out to their families and loved ones as they navigate this difficult time. We hope their memories bring comfort and strength to all who knew them," stated UGA Media Relations.
