Ayodhya Ram Temple's "Pran Pratishtha" ceremony is set to take place on January 22, and preparations are in full swing. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Ram temple in Ayodhya, and the event is expected to draw over 7,000 attendees, including politicians, film personalities, and leading industrialists.

Several states have declared holidays for the ceremony, and the Central Government has announced a half-day holiday for central institutions and industrial establishments on January 22, with office hours resuming at 2.30 pm. Here's a list of states that have declared a holiday for schools and offices on January 22:

Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the partial closure of all educational institutions.

Chhattisgarh: The state government has declared an official holiday for all educational institutions, and a weekly train service to Ayodhya has been introduced to enhance the significance of the historic event.

Goa: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has officially declared January 22 as a public holiday in the state.

Haryana: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced the temporary closure of schools, and the consumption of liquor will be prohibited across the state on that day.

Odisha: The state government has declared a half-day holiday for all government offices until 2.30 pm.

Rajasthan: The government has announced a half-day holiday in the state on January 22 in view of the ceremony.

Assam: The state government has declared a half-day holiday for all government offices and educational institutions until 2.30 pm on January 22.

Madhya Pradesh: A half-day holiday has been declared in all government offices on January 22.

Meanwhile, there are demands to declare holidays in other states:

Kerala: The BJP has urged the CPI(M)-led Left government to declare a holiday in its institutions on January 22, following the Centre's model.

Jharkhand: The BJP has appealed to Chief Minister Hemant Soren to declare January 22 as a 'state holiday.'

Maharashtra: There is a demand for a public holiday in Maharashtra on January 22, and the government is yet to make a decision.

Notably, no holiday has been announced in the following states and Union Territories: Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Telangana, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.
