New Delhi: In May, PM Modi launched the self-reliant India campaign. Under this, efforts are being made to make various sectors of the country self-sufficient by giving loans. At the same time, privatization is also being expanded in some areas. Out of this, one belongs to sector aviation. In fact, as part of the self-reliance campaign, the government has decided to lease the Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram airports for a 50-year lease through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.

These airports have come under the control of M / s Adani Enterprises Ltd. for 50 years. Actually, the tender was called for this through auction. The Adani Group has made the highest bid. The PPP model does not mean complete personalization. There will also be a partnership of the Airport Authority of India under the government. Currently, the airport has been leased for up to 50 years under the PPP model. After this, these three airports will again be returned to the Airport Authority of India.

The private company will operate, manage and develop the three airports under the PPP model. Parking for the passengers at the airport, all the shops within the building will be operated by the private company. Apart from this, the private company will do all the work related to ground handling with the airlines.
