New Delhi: After successfully running two Tejas Express trains between New Delhi-Lucknow and Mumbai-Ahmedabad, IRCTC will run another private train from 16 February. This private train named Kashi Mahakal Express will run from Varanasi to Indore. According to the Railway Ministry, the Kashi Mahakal Express, run by the Indian Rail Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), will depart from Varanasi on February 16 for the first time.

After the launch of the train, its commercial operation will start from 20 February. IRCTC has said that this superfast air conditioned (air-conditioned) train will have berth for sleeping. The journey will be decided overnight by train, although the timing of the train has not been announced yet. IRCTC said in a statement that Kashi Mahakal Express will be able to connect three pilgrimage centers of Jyotirling Omkareshwar (Indore) near Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain and Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, UP.

In addition, this train will also connect Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal with Indore, the center of industry and education. This train, which runs between Varanasi and Ujjain three days a week, will pass through Ujjain, Sant Hiranagar (Bhopal), Bina, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow / Prayagraj and Sultanpur. Kashi Mahakal Express is the third private train run by IRCTC.
