Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister in the Modi government of India, questioned the protesters who raised the slogans of independence, on Wednesday said that the country is already free. He said that freedom of expression is used in the country under Article 19 (1) of the Constitution, but this article also reminds us of the appropriate restriction on such freedom.

Apart from this, Prasad tweeted, 'We are hearing slogans of' Azadi-Azadi 'in some places these days. Freedom from what? People openly criticize the government. He can choose someone or reject anyone. Some of them have also expressed siege to the universities and resentment against the police. Then what freedom?
