COIMBATORE: The curtain rises on the "Tamil Nadu Startup Thiruvizha 2023," as StartupTN, the state's pioneering agency for startups and innovation, plays host at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore on August 19th and 20th. A recent official announcement on August 17th heralded this exciting two-day inaugural event designed to honor the spirit of entrepreneurship in Tamil Nadu and spotlight the government's unwavering backing for startups and burgeoning visionaries across various growth phases.
The event's commencement will be marked by a video message from Chief Minister MK Stalin, setting the stage for illuminating speeches by key figures including Minister for Housing and Urban Development S Muthusamy, Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises TM Anbarasan, and Minister for Industries TRB Rajaa. The ministers are set to inaugurate the exhibition following the unveiling of novel initiatives by StartupTN aimed at fortifying the startup landscape and supporting ecosystem stakeholders. Sivarajah Ramanathan, StartupTN's Mission Director and CEO, shared that the participation of over 1,500 delegates hailing from Tamil Nadu and the global startup realm is anticipated, engaging in a spectrum of sessions encompassing keynote addresses, fireside conversations, panel debates, and comprehensive dialogues spanning diverse subjects.
This convocation will boast a galaxy of more than 50 distinguished speakers, encompassing stalwarts within the startup ecosystem, subject matter authorities, heads of preeminent state-level startup missions within India, and governmental representatives. The event's lineup will further spotlight an exposition featuring upwards of 450 booths showcasing innovative startups, along with a dedicated pitching session. The expo is poised to attract a crowd of at least 10,000 attendees, including startup pioneers and stakeholders representing the Tamil Nadu Startup community and the expansive Global Tamil diaspora. In a gracious gesture, StartupTN has readied a complimentary lounge accommodating up to 50 startup trailblazers, offering them a platform to unveil their distinctive startup ventures, products, or services. The response has been remarkable, with over 75 startups expressing keen interest in seizing this valuable opportunity. Facilitating personalized engagements, the event will forge connections among startups, investors, and other vested parties.
