Deoghar: Damodar Infra Company will pay a compensation of Rs 25 lakh each to the three family members who lost their lives in a ropeway accident in Jharkhand. In addition, the company is ready to give a job to the wife of deceased Rakesh Mandal posted in Dumka. On April 10, three persons lost their lives in the Trikut ropeway accident in Deoghar. Damodar Infra, the company that runs the ropeway, will give a compensation of Rs 25 lakh each to the kin and dependents of the deceased. The company's general manager Mahesh Moita confirmed this.

Moita said a compensation of Rs 25 lakh each will be given to the kin of the three deceased. On Friday, the company handed over three cheques of Rs 25 lakh to the district administration for this purpose. In addition, the company is ready to give a job to Rakesh Mandal's wife, an employee posted in Dumka. He said the company will provide all possible assistance to the victims' families on humanitarian grounds. The Jharkhand government has also announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of the three deceased. 

On April 11, 30 persons were rescued in the Deoghar Trikut ropeway accident. Three persons died after the operation, which lasted about 45 hours. Two of them died during the rescue operation. The Jharkhand government said that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the incident.
