This Diwali, Mahindra and Mahindra has come up with a great offer, under which if any government staff purchases any of Mahindra's car, it will be given an extra discount on behalf of the company. Mahindra has come up with a new scheme called Sarkar 2.0. Under this offer, all the staff of the central and state governments will get an additional cash discount of Rs 11,500 on the purchase of any Mahindra car.
Government employees will also get additional benefits like loans at 7.25% interest rate and minimum EMI of up to Rs 799 per lakh. In the month of October, where most of the vehicle companies registered an increase in sales. The festival season also did not bring news of relief for Mahindra. The company sold a total of 44,359 vehicles (passenger vehicles + commercial vehicles + exports) in October 2020. Whereas, Mahindra had sold a total of 51,896 vehicles (passenger vehicles + commercial vehicles + exports) in October 2019.
However, even though the company has recorded a decrease in sales compared to the previous year, but if compared to the last few months, the sales of the company have been recorded. Mahindra sold 30,426 vehicles in August 2020 and 34,351 vehicles in September 2020. The utility vehicle segment recorded a 3% growth in sales of the company. Mahindra sold a total of 18,317 utility vehicles in October 2020. Whereas, in October 2019, the company's total 17,785 utility vehicles were sold.
