Richa Sharma sang for the first time in Jagrata at the age of 8, when she received Rs 11. In an interview, she said that she has kept that money even today. It was not easy to decide the journey of Bollywood for a girl singing in the same Jagratas. She learned to sing hymns from her father. Richa went to Mumbai in 1995 for a live show. Here for the first time, she sang the bhajans of her mother in a program, due to which she got the opportunity to sing in the film 'Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya'.
